Spring Workshops & events 2026
Puddles, songbirds, crisp air – the spirit of spring lures us out of our winter hibernation. Join us at Aurora Farm as we flow in our garden preparations, maple tree tapping and birthing plans.
Check out our new and improved line up of spring workshops and celebrations to help you get into the spirit of spring!
Celebrate the Spirit of Spring
Thursday, April 16th – 6pm-8pm
Join Louise to celebrate the arrival of spring! The campfire will likely still be brewing up Manitoba Maple Syrup. Baby trees will be sprouting roots. In the studio, help us taste test some new herbal tea combinations! We will also be testing some of Louise’s new herbal skin creations! Of course, we’ll have a quick barn tour for some critter dopamine happiness.
This event is free but registration is required: https://aurorafarm.ca/product/celebrate-the-spirit-of-spring/
Please join us at Aurora Farm for a Teach-in and Craftivism event on Earth Day, April 22 from 5pm to 8pm.
Help us get ready for the 6th Annual MMIWG2S Walk for Justice on May 5th – National Red Dress Day.
We will be making beaded felt red dress pins and putting together gift bags and seed packs for the event and learning more about how we can each make a difference.
Garden tea, refreshments and mini-tours of the barn!
This event is co-sponsored by Changemakers 231 Inc. and the Council of Canadians.
Want to try your hand at gardening this summer but aren’t sure where to start? This workshop will introduce the basics of how and when to plant, how to prepare your soil, how to feed and weed. You will leave this workshop with some bedding plants, seeds and compost to get your gardens growing.
