Spirit of Harvest Soirée

Join us for an evening of celebration as we end our harvest.  This year was an amazing year in our gardens!  We’d like to share our thankfulness with you by spending some quality creative time.

We will make a few crafts together with our special guest Alison from Barletta Beeswax. She’ll be bringing along a selection of her gorgeous handmade candles to restock our shelves as well as yours!  Nothing like ending each day with the quietness of a flickering candle.

One of our showcase plants this year was the mullein.  Never have we seen it so grand!  We have harvested plenty and saved the seeds for giveaways.  We will be using the dried flower spikes to make an ancient candle torch by dipping in beeswax.

We have another sweet beeswax inspired fall craft of dipping our beautiful colourful leaves and sewing a garland.  Over the next few days, gather some of your favourite leaves and press them between parchment paper sheets in a heavy book.  We will dip them in beeswax and glycerine and sew them with ribbon to make a fall garland that will last until Winter Solstice.

We will have our new tea blends on time to taste test along with a few herbal refreshments.  The Community Sweatlodge will be happening at this time so we can share some time in reconciliation around the Sweatlodge Sacred Fire.
