This is a practical workshop to learn the basic principles of how to use fresh and dried herbs. In this workshop, Louise will show you how to make infusions, tinctures, oils, salves, steams and more. Most herbal preparations like tinctures and salves are expensive to purchase in specialty stores. However, they are easy and economical to make at home. We will make a batch of our favourite Healing Salve and you will take a sample of that home as well. Have you ever wondered what is the difference between teas and infusions? We will enjoy taste-testing of both along with some herbal shortbread and energy balls. We will spend a bit of time at the end walking through the gardens.
Workshop fee includes material costs and herbs.
Please note: This course does not cover the medicinal uses of herbs or discussions around medical diagnosis.
If you are interested in a specific herb, all of our dried herbs are available for purchase at the workshop as well as all of our other handmade items.
