Queer Farm Camp

We are thrilled to be offering our first Queer Farm Camp for the LGBTQ2S+ community! Our Aurora Farm team is made up of queer farmers and allies. Not to mention that the animal-world is naturally fluid when it comes to orientation! Queer Farm Camp is an opportunity to have some hands-on farm learning in good company. We will be learning about a little bit of everything from animal care to gardening, crafting to composting! And we will end in our finest fashion with a Pride Parade, leading our animals through our fields. It’s sure to be a memorable occasion. Let’s celebrate Pride month together!

Friday, June 9 – 6-9pm

We will gather around a bonfire to meet one another, share stories, and work on our vision boards for the weekend.

Saturday, June 10 – 9am-3pm

Each day will start with our morning chores and a few mini workshops about farm life. The afternoon will start off with a Baby Goat Yoga class (no yoga required, but please bring along a yoga mat or towel to practice on). The rest of the afternoon will be spent doing garden projects, tie dyeing (bring what you would like to dye), and rainbow-ing up the farm to get ready for the parade on Sunday.

Sunday, June 11 – 9am-3pm

After morning chores, we will finish up our decorating and then it’s time for the parade! Yes, we will be parading the animals around the fields to celebrate Pride! We will have a professional photographer on hand for a photo booth of you with your new friends, human and animals. Feel free to invite your friends and family to come out to see you in the parade which will start at 1pm. They can get a photo taken with animals as well for a small fee.

This camp is open to all ages. You are welcome to bring your kids along with you for free if they are under the age of 12 years old (please let us know in the checkout notes or an email how many kids and their ages).

Individual rate for 13 years old and up is $175 for the weekend. Bring along a partner, ally, family member, or friend for an extra $100 per person.
